A vibrant tea featuring sweet orange and tart cranberries, perfect for warming up on chilly days or festive gatherings.

# What You'll Need:

→ Fruits & Juices

01 - 1 large orange, sliced into rounds
02 - 1/2 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
03 - 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice

→ Tea & Sweeteners

04 - 4 cups water
05 - 2 black tea bags or 2 teaspoons loose-leaf black tea in infuser
06 - 2–3 tablespoons honey or pure maple syrup, adjusted to taste

→ Spices

07 - 2 cinnamon sticks
08 - 4 whole cloves
09 - 1 star anise pod, optional

# Directions:

01 - Combine water, cranberries, orange slices, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise in a medium saucepan. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes until cranberries burst and release their ruby color into the liquid.
02 - Add black tea bags to the spiced infusion, steeping for 3–5 minutes depending on desired strength. Remove and discard tea bags once the brew reaches your preferred intensity.
03 - Stir in fresh orange juice and honey or maple syrup. Continue simmering for 2 additional minutes to allow flavors to meld completely.
04 - Pour the tea through a fine-mesh strainer into a warmed teapot or heatproof pitcher, discarding all solid ingredients. Serve piping hot, garnished with additional orange slices or fresh cranberries if desired.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The way your kitchen fills with cinnamon and citrus while it simmers feels like instant coziness
  • Its naturally beautiful in the cup with floating orange slices and ruby cranberries
02 -
  • Once I accidentally boiled the tea bags with everything else and the whole batch turned bitter so always add them last
  • The cranberries keep releasing color even after straining so your second cup might look even prettier than the first
03 -
  • Use a vegetable peeler to create orange ribbons instead of slices for a more elegant presentation
  • Warm your mugs with hot water before pouring so the tea stays hot longer
