# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The sustained energy keeps you focused without the afternoon crash that hits after too much caffeine
  • It takes literally five minutes from cupboard to glass, which is about all the time I have on chaotic mornings
  • The banana creaminess makes matcha feel approachable even if you are usually skeptical about its grassy notes
02 -
  • Matcha can clump if you dump it in directly try dissolving it in a splash of warm milk first if you have had texture issues before
  • Frozen bananas transform this from a thin drink into something almost milkshake thick, which is how I prefer it
  • If it tastes too grassy, you probably need more sweetener than you think matcha needs more help than coffee to feel dessert-like
03 -
  • Invest in a small whisk or matcha whisk for those days when the powder will not cooperate with being blended
  • The high speed setting on your blender is your friend here, especially for breaking down chia seeds
  • Leftover smoothie freezes into popsicles that my nieces go absolutely crazy for
